Well here it is about 8:30 in the evening on November first. One month till the trails open. So the wait is on. I have really slacked on being on here this summer and boy has time flew by. Heading for Novi this weekend to the snow show and will be there with my Chubby buddy Bob the sticker king. Make sure if you walk up to the booth to call him Pete. I should be around there most of the time and we are in the same spot that we were in last year. Be sure and stop by and say hi to either Bob or myself……just be sure to call Bob, Pete…..that is a long standing joke between me and him. So on the snowmobile news from Frederic, I went to Gaylord yesterday and the trail north of Waters all the way to Gaylord is still a disaster. There is a lot of equipment on the trail including a giant crane up near where Marsh Ridge is and I have no idea why there were putting in sheet piling in there with that crane. They sure are spending a ton of money to turn that trail into what amounts to a drag strip. From what I saw it will be a miracle if that trail is done in time. Also in Frederic many of you have stayed at the Pine View motel over the years. They are not renting rooms there anymore. Also for those of you that have been going to the Frederic Inn for many years and knew Gene he passed away last month. He was around there for a lot of years and was always nice to talk to. My favorite spot in the U.P. in Strongs, the Clarke Motel will not be open this winter either. Patty & Andy decided to instead take the winter off so their ultra cool Motel will not be available again till spring time. However if you want to buy it they would still like to sell it. Now jumping back to Frederic here is a home right on Cameron Bridge road right on the sled trail if you are looking for a new place, just give me a call if you want to get your checkbook out. https://www.flexmls.com/share/1r7S5/11963WCameronBridgeRoadFredericMI49733 Pics below were actually taken in late August, Gabriel and his wife Kaylah stopped by to see me on their way north from Grand Rapids. Luckily they caught me at the shop. Because of my slacking off this summer it took me forever to get this on. Let hope we have a better winter than last year and I would say start in on the snow chants right about Thanksgiving time. Thanks for checking in. Pete
