Dingmans Bar Burns to the Ground

Dingmans Bar an ever popular snowmobile stop at Bear Lake burned to the ground overnight. Look at my Sledheads facebook site for video that I did earlier this morning. The fire trucks were all leaving there when I was there at 8:30 this morning. I must be bad luck for bars as I was at the swamp in 1990 when it burned, at Ma Deeters a few years ago when it burned and at the Full Throttle in Sturgis just a couple days before it burned. That’s not a good pattern. We had a little bit of fine snow overnight and weather is calling for a little snow each day. I think that means we will skate thru the weekend with not great but rideable conditions. Still very icy underneath. I had a voice mail this morning when I woke up that came in at 4 a.m. It was from none other than the Mountain Man himself telling me he was doing the snow dance for all the snowmobilers, he said all this dancing is making him thirsty and he said if I find it in my heart I could bring him a fifth of crown royal and a cup of coffee……That guy is something else. Thanks for checking in. Pete
