Wiped out since yesterday, it rained pretty steady all yesterday afternoon and even harder thru the night with 46 degrees and what little white we did have on the ground is gone. In spots like my driveway here where it had been driven on it is pure ice and the same way down at my storage units it is very very slick. Its 43 right now at 10:30 a.m. Yesterday was by far the most people I have had in here since last sled season, still not what it should be but it was nice to see some smiling faces. I had a call from someone that told me they saw 3 sleds on the trail up by Gaylord and also someone came in that said they saw a sled going down 612 after leaving the gas station. Still no official first sled of the season into the shop here and it looks like its still going to be a while. Well inevitably it had to happen, the first sled death of the season on the 27th in the U.P. at Lake Gogebic.Sled Death in the U.P. Pics below are one I just took outside and the good looking pic was from Dec 27 last year when apparently we did have rideable snow. Thanks for checking in. Pete
