The Accident

Nothing new has happened since the 4 to 6 we got on sunday. Its 26 degrees and if I can get out of here I am going to ride to Lewiston to Talleys for lunch…….   So what I want to talk about is the accident from saturday. Pics below were all sent to me, pay close attention to all of them and especially the pics of the fxr helmet. I have had many calls on this ordeal including one from the groomer driver yesterday wondering how everyone came out and the struggles he is having with what he saw. First of all this is a bad situation for everyone involved and the family wants everyone to know that they have been riding since 1984 and safety first is their number one concern and have never ever had an incident in all these years. They never drink & ride and have always had the best safety gear for whatever they ride weather its sleds or dirt bikes. Of course like anything the comments come out from people that have no idea what this family is about or what they are like. They have been coming into Sledheads for quite a few years and I will stick up for them all the way. Luckily no one was killed. The groomer driver told me he saw the first one came in and caught the corner of the bucket and he was thrown into a tree that had spring to it which probably saved him. He said he was out of the groomer and then bang with the second sled into the bucket and the third sled into the second and on top of the rider and then mom (who never rides more than 30) into the third sled. Then after that 2 more sleds that rolled trying to avoid everything from a different group. No one knows so far who those 2 sleds were. It was a setting for the perfect storm unfortunately. They are all back home now but the scars will remain forever. Look over these pics closely and be aware of where you are at and PLEASE RIDE SAFELY…..this was actually a lucky break for everyone involved.
