Still cold and crunchy

Still cold and crunchy at 8 degrees and its sunny out. Trails look pretty decent. I think I am going to take a ride around here today. Several people have asked me about my sled……the turbo 660 arctic cat is gone. I wanted to be on top of things for this season so I pulled the suspension out in August so I would be sure to have it ready to go for sled season. Everything was so wobbled out and worn I got the brainstorm that it would be easier to find a used suspension and put that in. I found a suspension and had a guy that was going to put it in but that didnt seem to be working out to well and he just never got it done. In the mean time rather than order wheels, bushings, axles and all the goodies that I could have put it back together with I figured I would just throw the old suspension away….(certainly not a good move on my part). So I sold the sled without a suspension and the first thing that came along was what I have now. A 17 MXZX 1200 ski doo….I havent had a skidoo since the early 80s when I had a 1971 TNT 665…..the most powerful sled made at the time. This new sled is a rocket in standard and sport mode but I keep it in Eco mode as nobody needs all the power that thing has and I would just as soon stay alive. Its not really what I was looking for but it is a sled to ride. I prefer something like the 660 was with a big old windshield but I have to admit the wind hasnt been that bad on the skidoo……Thats my story and Im sticking to it. Pics below are trail 7 east and west just north of the high school and trail 7 north end of frederic to Gaylord. Thanks for checking in. Pete
