Snow has eased up.

The snow has eased up, I would say we have had a total of 12 to 18 inches in our area in the past couple of days. I certainly haven’t seen snow piles in my storage area as big as this in the four years I have had that place. It was snowing and blowing all day yesterday, last night in grayling it looked like a ghost town, spikes, tinkers, the legion, big boy, old dam party store were all closed. I did talk to to sledders downtown at paddle hard that had rode up from Higgins lake about 8 oclock, it was snowing pretty hard then and they said it was hard to see except when you got in the woods. Its ten degrees out now and clear in Frederic and no snow coming down. I am hoping to go for a ride yet today, I thought Chubby Roger was gonna call me to ride but I haven’t heard from him this morning. The Darkside Adventures guys have been having one heck of a ride thru Canada, scary at times and they talk about 6 feet of snow. I will post one of their pics below here. Read their blog here http://www.darksideadventures.com/new-blog/   Very exciting trip and I still wish I could go with them some year. Rod does an excellent job of writing of their adventure. I have had a couple reports from riders running into side by sides out on the sled trails. There is no way they should be on any snowmobile trail. I have had no response for the lost and found from this past weekend, the rope and pack with other goodies in it that was found up by the settings or the phone that was found on the trail near Frederic. Sorry for the blurry pics, had a couple more Canadians in yesterday, sure seems like a lot of them this year. And sleds down at Frederic Inn when I left town last night. thanks for checking in. Pete
