Saturday Monring 9:30

Its saturday morning in downtown frederic, there is light snow in the air and a stiff breeze at 18 degrees out. Not really any new snow since yesterday but it looks like we should get a little today. Yesterday was by far the busiest day of the season but still pretty slow for the time of year. Pink Ribbon riders have a ride going today out of Gaylord and their riders are searching for bras at stops along their route and Sledheads is one of the stops they will be stopping at. This should be interesting. So far I havent heard or seen any sleds out there today. Riders I have talked to are still happy to be out there trying what little snow we do have. A few of them from Ohio and Indiana say that this snow is great as they have zero snow where they are from. I keep saying how conditions are poor but there are many people disputing me on that. I guess its cause I live here and can wait it out for better conditions but so many people are tired of waiting so they are just gonna send it……anyways.  You know after being in here 25 years I have seen families that have grown up from little kids and now those kids are bringing their kids in and having a good time. Those families all out riding together and having a good time. The Young family is one of those and I want to send a shout out to Bruce and Judy who I miss coming in here or being able to visit them at their home. Always so many people there keeping warm by their nice big fireplace making snowmobile memories…..So for now maybe we will get some more snow. It looks like the next couple days should help us out. Also a shout out to Dylan a new reader from Denver. Thanks for checking in. Pete
