New Snow overnight, a whole 1 inch of it

New snow overnight amounted to a whole one inch of new fluffy stuff. There is snow in the air right now and predicitions are for more over the weekend but it didn’t look like a lot. Already had people in here on their way to the U.P. this morning and a couple others that are going to unload and ride around here. Checked the motels in Grayling this morning and only 2 trailers at Days Inn and 4 at the Ramada, on the other hand there were about 15 hummers at the Ramada too so that means there are a bunch more of them coming. Didn’t see any sleds in town here till just before I left about 5:30 and there were 3 over at the swamp. One of those guys rode over here to see me and his pic is below. In the mean time the other pic is the crowd that was gathered out front here yesterday still waiting for winter to show up. Conditions are still icy underneath but at least we have a little lube now and hopefully it will keep coming down thru the weekend. The Darkside Adventures Ride starts in a couple days. Follow the guys on their 2000 mile adventure thru the Canadian Wilderness. They do daily updates and you can track them live too thru their website. Here is a link to their site Darkside Adventures 2019    I checked out my sled yesterday and decided that I could use a new set of slides on it so that is one of my projects for the next couple of days. I could also use a new (to me) used set of skis. My sled is a 2005 turbo 660 arctic cat so if anyone has a set of skis let me know. I wore a hole in them a couple years ago. Thanks for checking in and Please Ride Safely. Pete
