Memorial Day 2020

Memorial Day 2020, Take time today to remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice. Each year I attend the memorial day service at our local cemetery and of course this year there is no service. It has always been a time to reflect and remember. Also at 3 p.m. today is a national moment of remembrance. Each year when I go out to south dakota I stop at the Black Hills National Cemetery. Its tough to describe the feeling of being there, a few pics from there below.  Be safe everyone. Pete

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter the words, but to live by them.” – John F. Kennedy

“It doesn’t take a hero to order men into battle. It takes a hero to be one of those men who goes into battle.”- Norman Schwarzkopf

“Heroes may not be braver than anyone else. They’re just braver 5 minutes longer.“ – Ronald Reagan

“My country owes me nothing. It gave me, as it gives every boy and girl, a chance. It gave me schooling, independence of action, opportunity for service and honor.“ – Herbert Hoover
