I was wrong last week as there are some new things going on around Frederic, right after I did that last update I drove up to Gaylord and was surprised to see that trail 7 along old 27 from waters on up to Gaylord was closed at each crossing and that it had all been bull dozed and leveled out. I stopped in up at the Sled Shed to find out what was going on. It is part of the rails to trails program and the snowmobile organization had nothing to do with it. The trail will be the same as it is when you get north of Gaylord on up to the bridge so at least maybe it will be a little wider. Here is a link to a news story on it Rails to Trails update Also for those of you that have stayed at the Pineview Motel just north of Frederic they will not be renting rooms there anymore on a nightly basis so please be aware of that. The Pineview Military surplus store will be moving into grayling also. The next new business that is going to be built here also will be a Dollar General Store that will be located just south of my Storage Facility a half mile south of Sledheads.
