Happy New Year,,,,,,kind of

Happy New Year, kind of. The snow gods were good to us this week but the sun is out this morning in Frederic and its 25 degrees out at 10 a.m. Hoping we can hang on to this and that we get a little more of the predicted snow to get us thru the weekend. Sled traffic was decent around town here yesterday with riders having a good time on what snow we do have. We were so lucky that it was a real nice thick system snow. I will be here till at least five today. Already 2 trucks parked back in the park n ride lot behind me. Those guys called me and asked if I charge to park back there and parking is by donation and this year I am taking all that money and putting it into my daughters fund for her study abroad trip to Spain. She is a student at U of M and its part of her Spanish Major so that will help her out and her donation can is in here on the counter……. She is very excited about that trip. Pics below are from yesterday, The first pics are from the Indian Lake Sledheads from southern Ohio and they were thrilled to be riding here yesterday. I would say most of the riders that have been here this week have been from Ohio. I wonder if thats bad asking Ohio people to donate to a U of M student? Swifty was in later yesterday afternoon with a group of about ten sleds so he won the largest group of the day. I should have went riding with them. Of course I had to go to the Frederic Inn and get a prime rib to go. I actually saved it for lunch here today. Thanks for checking in. Pete
