Another sunny morning at Lake margrethe

Its another sunny and cool 25 degrees at Lake Margrethe. I see where someone posted on my page that they had a nice 65 mile ride from Frederic to Mancelona yesterday so if you work at it you can pull it off but there has to be bad spots to dodge. I was up in Frederic for a bit yesterday but didnt hear or see anything. These daily updates are going to get a bit boring but as long as I am sitting here I will put something out there. There are actually still people ice fishing out on the lake here. As you know I was plugging for my daughter Haley for donations for her study abroad trip to Spain which was supposed to be in May….of course its not going to happen now and the one thing I never did put out there was that she was also lucky enough to be chosen for another trip to Equador that was supposed to take place 3 days after she returned from Madrid….It just not gonna happen at least this season but she has hopes that it will in future, but who knows. Many of you came into the shop and donated and we thank you for that. Below is a note from Haley to everyone

Hello, thank you again for your incredibly generous donations for my study abroad and teaching opportunities for Summer 2020. While your donations would have helped me substantially with program costs and the flights, unfortunately all international travel related to the University of Michigan for this summer has been cancelled due to efforts to contain the Coronavirus outbreak. I was supposed to be in Madrid, Spain for May and June to study abroad, then teach in Quito, Ecuador for July, however it seems that both will be postponed until next summer. I greatly appreciate the generosity and support that has been shown, but I am now deactivating the campaign. I have the money that has been fundraised set aside to put towards next years’ trips, but if anyone has any questions or would like their donation refunded, please contact my Dad or myself in order to do so. Thanks again, and Go Blue!
