Wertz Warriors were in town this morning for their annual stop at The Swamp to raise money for Special Olympics. Good size crowd but for the first time ever no sleds with them. Everyone in big white vans and their 3 big support semi trucks with them. Julie and crew put on a great breakfast for everyone and presented the Warriors with a hefty donation. They pulled out about 10:30 and headed off to Mancelona and then on to Traverse City for the kick off of the 2024 Winter Special Olympics. Conditions continue to deteriorate all thru northern michigan including the u.p. Temps still supposed to be well above freezing for a while. It makes me wonder still on how the I 500 will make it thru this. Pics below are from this morning. Thanks for checking in. Pete
