Welcome Back…..

Welcome Back, oh 20 degree weather. Its now noon thirty and 23 degrees in downtown Frederic on Tuesday morning. I had to run up to Gaylord earlier this morning and I have to say that I was surprised at how good the trail looked, there was a slight dusting of lake effect snow on it and on the way back from Gaylord I passed 4 sleds that were out riding. Have had a couple people in here that were just heading out to ride. So my thoughts on this coming weekend after watching the weatherman this morning. People want to ride, and while conditions are not prime we have that good old rock hard base and a little snow on it for lubrication and there is supposed to be not much but a little more falling thru the weekend. I think people are going to try it but keep in mind that it is slick like it was a few weeks ago underneath. That’s the best I can say and we just have to wait and see how it plays out. Cold weather and the islanders on Bois Blanc were able to get an ice bridge into there this year. I am hoping I can go up there to get a ride in before it gets to warm and the bridge goes away. I have to say I am surprised at the amount of people that have stopped in here both yesterday and today, not so many on sleds but people thinking about sledding. Still working on getting my site set up for the polar vortex shirts and also have new WTF (Welcome to Frederic)Ā decals which should be done in the next day or so and I will post a pic of them…….thanks for checking in. Pete
