Its Thursday afternoon at 4:10 and I am finally sitting down to do this today, There is snow in the air and that’s great as its supposed to be rain. Trails are still good as of this minute. Thankfully it has been very cloudy all day so that has been saving us, unlike yesterday where it was 40 and sunny all day. That made things settle quite a bit and cleaned the roads off. We have to wait to see if it really rains tonight to see how things hold up for tomorrow. The trail along 93 by lake margrethe and north of the high school was still nice an white on my way up here to Frederic this afternoon but the trail crossing at 93 and 27 looked pretty brown as I looked down at it. There have been a few sleds in here today. I was at home most of the day getting snow off my carport and cottage and moving snow around. I wanted that snow off the roof in case of the rain. So lets hope for a good report in the morning. On to my ride from yesterday, Jim and I started out from the trail head in Cheboygan about 11 yesterday morning, heading south down the trail to Tower, conditions were perfect even with the sun and warmth, about 15 miles down the trail got a little ripply but not horrible then once we made it past onoway and almost to Millersberg it was perfect again. When you are riding that loop unless you head off a spur into town you aren’t going to see a thing. From Millersberg on up to Rogers City and then to Black Mountain for lunch at the Bluffs which was very good. Then from there back to Cheboygan about 4:30. A picture perfect 110 mile loop that I have been wanting to do for years and I am very glad I finally got to do it. Below is some pics from that trip. Thanks for checking in. Pete
