Its sunny and minus 12 degrees. It has warmed up from minus 18 a while earlier. The snow is crunchy out there. Havent seen any sleds out and about yet this morning. As I left home there were two trucks that tried to drive out on the lake by my house, don’t know what they were thinking but the one was pulling a trailer and he was buried out there. The snow is 18 inches deep on top of the ice and they were trying to pull him out. Not a good idea, taking a sled out there is one thing but you cant drive a truck thru that. Also speaking of dumb people the front doors at the ole barn were boarded up. I figured a car of sled went thru them but from what I hear someone got cut off in there last night and then proceeded to break the glass in both doors. You cant fix stupid……. On the sledding front there were lots of sleds in and about yesterday, I am sure the cold held some back but it was still very busy even with the cold. Even the mountain man made an appearance here last night. I haven’t seen him in a while. There were several big groups in here including one with a whole bunch of kids, their picture is below here with the kids lined up outside. The Alabama boys and this week girls decided to head back yesterday afternoon, they should be rolling back into Demopolis about noon or 1 today. I went to visit them yesterday before they left and there are pics below of how they get back in forth. They aren’t coming back next week as their ride next week will be in northern maine. I went up and looked at the trail north to Gaylord this morning and there is fresh groomer tracks on it and I know the grayling groomers were heading out first thing this morning. Also a Happy Birthday shout out to Bob Young today, he is back in Frederic after his great ride with the Darkside Adventure guys. Its now 10:45 a.m. and the first three sleds of the morning just rode in. They had two little ones with them and they said they were having fun. Thanks for checking in. Pete
