It was ten degrees and frosty everywhere this morning when I got here, its now about 11 and up to 24 degrees. Things are still hard and crunchy. I never saw any sleds yesterday but one person that was in told me he had seen one down the street from here. I would expect a few to be out there today. Riding will be easier as the snow gets softer later in the day. Had a few trailers in yesterday that were on their way to the u.p.. and so far only a couple people in this morning. I am still going to stick it out in here today and tommorow till at least five. The end is getting closer but I still have hopes for another storm. Mohawk John was in yesterday to get his Polar Vortex shirt and his pic is below. All of the orders have been picked up except for two and I dont have their phone number but if you are Kevin or Justin Kirkpatrick or know them have them call me…….Couple other pics below I just took outside and as you can see its still nice and white out there. I did read yesterday that they are going to send the ice breaker thru between St Ignace and Mackinaw island starting monday morning so that will be done. I talked to many people that made the trip across the ice bridge to Mackinac Island this winter. I would bet this was the busiest winter the island has had in a long time. There is a five dollar permit fee to ride your sled on the island and this year they had someone there collecting as you came across. Well worth the five bucks to say you got to ride your sled there. They said the sooner they get the ice broken up thru there the sooner it will melt so the ferries can start running again. Thanks for checking in. Pete
