Road trip to the U.P. with NO Sled

Road trip to the u.p. with no sled, For years I have done sweatshirts for the Gay Bar up in the Keewanaw. I have had a load of shirts here for Bruce that owns the bar. Usually he comes thru to pick them up but he hasnt been down this way. So in my complete boredom of being here I called him yesterday and asked if he would meet me half way. Its 377 miles to Gay from Frederic. So we decieded to meet in Autrain at the Brownstone restaurant last night. Roads were nice and dry and of course no snow. There was a little white along the roads but far from anything rideable. Hotels all empty in Germfask, Munising, Autrain. You wouldnt think that for it being the first week in January. Anyways we had a good dinner at the Brownstone and Bruce headed back to Gay and I headed back to Grayling. Went thru Seney and even the Fox River Motel was empty. I would have liked to go down past the Clarke Motel in Strongs but my guess was it looked the same down there. Made it home just after 11. Conditions still the same here in Frederic but there was a light snow in the air a while ago. Its now about noon on saturday and the wait continues. Thanks for checking in. Pete
