Quiet in Frederic

Quiet and calm in Frederic, only saw a couple sleds yesterday and none today, things are still well worn and unfortunately the weather forcasts for this coming weekend are not looking favorable with predictions of icy snow mix for Friday, Saturday and sunday. Hopefully the weather man will be wrong but it still makes it very hard for people to plan a trip north when it seems so unpredictable. Things were going very well for this season with no snowmobile deaths in December but it just has to happen. There was a death this past weekend of a 17 year old in Cold Springs Township which is not that far from Frederic, actually near Manistee Lake. Here is a link to the news story.
