There is a very light snow in the air. Yesterday was a great day for riding with the temps in the 20s. Reports of both great and poor trail conditions but that is to be expected on the weekends, especially with groomer troubles. Grayling had an issue with the 3 point hitch on their drag and had to unhook it over by the swamp and borrow some 4 x 4s from me so they could leave it and get things welded up. Sled traffic was heavy all day saturday and as I was leaving town last night I saw one lone sled buried in the deep snow and that is your reminder to do not go off trail right now unless you have help with you. Its tough getting out. I have a cabin down in Wellston that I share with friends from kzoo. On friday one of the guys called me and said he was heading to the cabin. I told him in no uncertain terms to not try to drive in there. Our drive is a quarter mile off the road till we even get to the gate. He didnt listen to me and he got buried even before getting to the gate. It is now sunday afternoon and he is still stuck and hoping to get some help still. I told him to leave it for a couple weeks. He has been trying to shovel it out but no luck yet. Also had another call this morning from a guy that is buried way back in off trail 79, Cant get his sled started and there is no way to pull it out. As I have said the snow is deep……Thanks for checking in. Pete
