Its a long way to the top if you want to ride your sled…..top of Michigan that is. We are starting over again, it was up to 52 yesterday and then in the late afternoon came the heavy, heavy rains. This morning it is15 degrees & windy and if you stretch it we had a 1/4 inch of snow overnight. Schools thruout northern Michigan were closed because of ice but Grayling somehow managed to stay open. I took the same 4 pics again this morning that I did yesterday and instead of mud we have rock hard mud now. Weather forcasts show a little snow each day but we need a lot…..on the bright side we do have a very hard base right now. The Alabama boys decided to keep going north and went on up to Newberry hoping to get some riding in towards Grand Marais. I haven’t heard back from them yet but they have to try for something after their long haul. I talked to Patty at the Clark Motel yesterday and it was slim there in Strongs and after that I talked to Mark in Seney at Fox River and he said that things should be better to the north and that after the temps dropped they were sending the groomers out again. That wont happen around Frederic for quite a while yet. Somehow I see a pattern with me and what I do for business. I have always said for a long time that the Real Estate business is like a roller coaster with its up and down peaks and so is this Snowmobile business with its ups and downs. I guess I am just a gluten for punishment. Pics below are from this morning. Stop in and wake me up if you manage to come up north. I also will gladly except cans of spam or coneys to get thru the tough times. Thanks for checking in. Pete but wait theres more…..I was just getting ready to hit post on this and a sled actually went riding by….hopefully he will be back soon for carbides and slides…..
