Happy Halloween from the shores of Bois Blanc Island and Hawks Landing General Store where I am just finishing off a great pizza. I have been here on the island for 4 days looking for Big Don, I know he is here cause I had a picture of him on my camera but he hasn’t showed himself to me and I think I am going to have to wait until next year as I have to go home tomorrow. Been camped out in my camper and my friend Dennis Mccune from Kzoo spent the first 2 days with me. It was spitting a little snow last night but nothing stuck. I have been getting a few phone calls on the Sledheads line as people are starting to think about sledding. I am pasting a few pics below, one is of pumkins that Haley and Cathy carved, of course one of them is a beagle and I guess the other one is me with my fu man chu. The other pics are here on the island. The only thing you hear here is a distant fog horn and there was a lone coyote off in the distance. When I was eating some cookies this morning it was almost deafening just from the sound of chewing them….Its a quiet that is hard to describe. There was also a lone coyote off howling in the distance too. Have a great Halloween……
