This past saturday was a funeral for a friend, not only to me but to many people that come north. She was 35 years old, a wife, and a mother of 2 young children and at this young age she is gone. About 3 years ago she found out she had cancer and she fought it hard right from the very start. Always a smile on her face yet still coping with what she knew was going to eventually end. Its always tough to lose a friend but even tougher to lose a young friend. Next time you stop at Spikes raise your glass to her and say a prayer for her family. I know I will.
