Calm and Quiet

Its a calm and quiet Saturday morning in downtown Frederic, 21 degrees and no new snow. Riders that were in yesterday were saying just as I predicted with hard and icy trails and you need to get to the sides to get adequate lubrication on your slides. I saw one trailer unloading this morning at the parking lot just west of Grayling and a few sleds thru Frederic already this morning when I first got here about 8:30 Trailer count at Days Inn in Grayling this morning was 4 and 9 at the Ramada. I heard that it was packed up at Starvation Lake yesterday and also a story of a girl riding down the hill behind the bar who was on a rental sled, she apparently nailed the throttle instead of the brake and missed some people but hit some sleds. I cant believe anyone would send rental sleds out on icy conditions…….So as yesterday I think it will be the same thing around Frederic with sleds coming thru because everyone is just tired of waiting and just trying to get a ride in. Pics below are of trail 7 north of the high school that I took on the way up here, one looking east and one west. Do some snow chanting and think snow (really hard) Thanks for checking in. Pete
