Another big snowfall overnight here in Grayling and Frederic, a whole grand total of a half an inch. Why cant we get the snow that is falling from Chicago to Detroit. Talked to my brother in kzoo who is out plowing this morning and hoping to ride the Kal Haven trail today and had to do facetime with my sister in Chicago to help her get her snowblower started this morning, she had more snow in her drive than we have had fall here all at once this season. Still though conditions are o.k here, There have already been sleds in here this morning and 2 trucks are parked out back. One pic below is 3 of them that were heading out when I got here this morning. Just had a guy in that came up from Tennessee to ride. He was bummed that he couldn’t make it up to ride in January. Also pics below from Dave Klemish who rode 206 miles from Lewiston up to the bridge and back. If I posted a pic of me from yesterday it would be of me sitting in my rocking chair by the fireplace. Also had a guy call 2 days ago that had lost his trail permit off his sled and got a ticket for not having one on his sled. He had bought it from me and I told him to take a pic of it on his sled but he never did. So this is a reminder so you have some sort of proof that you had one on your sled in case it happens again. Also 2 days ago had a couple in that rode up from Houghton Lake which really surprised me as I thought things were 2 slim to do that but they were having fun. Checked the motels this morning in Grayling and trailer counts were 2 at the Days Inn and 5 at the Ramada……It will be interesting to see what tomorrow looks like. Please send some of that downstate snow this way.Also a pic of the afternoon train passing thru Frederic yesterday. Here is a link to an article of one very lucky sledder in Wyoming.
