Slept last night in Hyder, Alaska. Was rained on off and on most of the afternoon. Seen a couple moose and few black bear along the road. Road surfaces are much better than when I was here before (in Hyder). At one point was stopped for road construction and the wind was blowing so strong the road guard took hasty shelter in his truck. Bike is a buggy muddy mess. They had hail in the area the day before but I did not see any.
When I came over the border there were two black bears browsing around the buildings on what they have of a main street – in separate locations. Getting a later start today back but hope to miss the showers.
Everything is working well. Hoping for better weather as I go inland.
Phone does work when around an AT & T tower.
