Veterans Day 2017, Thank a Vet

Veterans Day 2017 is coming up in four days. I actually meant to put this post out last week but I have a favor to ask. Below is a picture of my friend Woody Austin, WW2 Vet who served in the Navy from 1942 to 1945 aboard the carrier USS Bon Homme Richard (CV 31). For years Woody has come into Sledheads to sell me a map ad for the tip of the mitt snowmobile maps. He is pushing 92 now and just a month ago had to go into an assisted living facility in Charlevoix. Needless to say he is bummed he cant be out selling map ads. I went up to visit him a couple weeks ago and took the picture below of him. If you could just take a minute and drop him a note or a card for veterans day that would be fantastic. He is a great man and of course full of stories. Below is his address and also a link to the ship he was on.USS Bon Homme Richard (CV-31) Thank you.
