This is How We Do It!

Another beautiful winter morning at 28 degrees here in Frederic, I just rode in from home down trail 7 which is in great shape now. I went riding again yesterday afternoon with Chubby Roger and we made a nice 60 mile loop up to Starvation Lake and Lakes of the North and then I decided I wasnt done and it was just to nice so the beagle and I rode home on my sled. Thats only the second or third time I have rode home this year. The only thing I am going to say about the riding today is that if you didnt make it here you missed some of the best winter we have seen in years here. I have to check for sure but I am pretty sure I am past the 1000 mile mark which I havent done in years. We were still finding alot of untouched snow and even Lake Margrethe still has 8 or 10 inches of powder on it this morning which was very exhilerating. I know every inch of that lake and along where I was at was all very shallow water. So yesterday there was a guy in here from pittsburgh pa who said it was his seventh trip here this season and I missed out on two of the alabama boys that just happened to be the president and vice president of the Alabama snowmobile association. I had talked to CJ earlier in the day and he told me that those two were the only part of the gang that made it up here. Jeff & Lauren rode here from higgins lake yesterday and put on a set of carbides and then headed up to the bridge from here. I will put the pic below here that they sent me after they got there. I had another guy in here this morning that went to the bridge too…… So anyways what a great past few weeks it has been for me….rode twice to the bridge, spent a weekend in the u.p. for more riding, rode to mancelona, rode the 166 mile trip on wednesday, been in kzoo at a great blues event, went to bob seger in g.r., rode with chubby roger, so its the way a winter really should be….I did do some video yesterday which I will try and get done. Thanks for checking in.  Pete
