The party is over…

The party is over, most of the snow is gone now and I will be awful surprised if we do get a spring dumping. If that happens it will only be good for those of us are here when it happens….I am going to cut back now on updates to every couple days or so till the end of the month seeing that there wont be much to talk about. The rest of the summer will pretty much be my life story….hopefully there are a couple fun trips in there. Sturgis will be one of them. Here is a little more on the trip north from this weekend. I got up to Newberry Friday afternoon and headed out about 3:30, I park a few miles north of town so you miss that swamp heading out of town. Its at the end of a dead end road near where the trail crosses so its easier to get into the good snow. I left my truck and trailer there along with my extra 5 gallons of gas in the back of my truck. I figured it would be o.k. Headed on up to Grand Marais and got there about six…met 3 guys that were riding back to┬áNewberry and was glad I got to ride with them as it was dark by the time we got back. Next morning I unloaded in Seney and went to fill my sled up with the gas I brought. I had it bungied in the back of my truck and went to get it out and there was a five dollar bill in the bungie…..I had to laugh at that and there was only a couple gallons gone out of the can and actually just enough to fill my sled up so it worked out good and is a good story. Below is some of the pics I took at the Veterans Ride. I have been to a lot of events in my days but they do an incredible job of putting that on and a tribute to the Vets. I do have some video I did but I want to put it all together. Here are some of my favorite pics…
