Straight to you from Kzoo

Coming at you from Mom Kocefas’s house in Kalamazoo. Haley and I made the road trip down here last night and we went out to dinner with my mom at Logans. Mom is still getting along pretty good for 90 and she still said last night that she wants me to take her to Sturgis this year. She did go with me once about 15 years ago and she had a good time. This past weekend was the Camp Grayling 100th anniversary and there were a lot of people at the post for the event to see the displays. They had 5 or 6 different bands play during the day and they finished the night off with an incredible fireworks display. This is coming up on Graylings biggest week of the summer starting yesterday with the Spikes Challenge canoe race on the river yesterday. Lots of Activities in grayling each day this week and on Saturday the car show, the big parade in the afternoon and the canoe race that starts at 9 on Saturday night and goes 14 hours thru the night and all the way to Oscoda finishing up about noon on sunday. Its a tough thing to follow all the way and I haven’t done it in quite a few years but this is the year we are going to do it. I am taking the camper over to the KOA in Oscoda on Thursday night so it will be there waiting for us when we arrive there on sunday….  So stop in for a visit to Grayling this week if you are in the area and enjoy some of the fun.
