Snowy Week with an Early season ride

There has been snow on the ground all week in both Grayling and Frederic and I heard stories of much more snow north and west of Frederic which normally happens anyways. 2 days ago somewhere online (its now sunday morning) of a sled parked in front of the Hide Away at Starvation lake. I had a guy call yesterday afternoon wondering where the best snow was. I told him I didn’t think there was any rideable, well last night I ran into his group at Spikes and they had rode 50 miles up by Mancelona, along 131 and Lakes of the North. They said there was a good 8 to 10 inches at Lakes of the North. Well I still wouldn’t recommend it at least they got a ride in. Below is a pic they took yesterday. Be patient as Dec 1 is coming and so is rifle season this Wednesday. Its supposed to warm up the next few days so I believe we will lose what snow we have. I was at Sledheads for most of the day on Saturday till about 3;30 and must have missed this group of people that stopped to see me. They sent me this pic of them out front of the shop. Sorry I missed them but I am sure they will be back on their sleds soon.lakes of the north group Thanks for checking in. Pete
