Memorial Day 2018

May has flown by and here we are at Memorial Day. Its cloudy and 60 here near Lake Margrethe. Heading off to the cemetery in a bit for the annual Memorial Day service. Just saw on the news that the Arizona Memorial in Pearl Harbor will be closed until a repair can be made to it. Below is a pic I took of it last year when we were there. Side by sides and 4 wheelers have been showing up more and more in Frederic. I don’t get to many stopping in but its good to see the traffic thru town. Fire danger has been very high this year and the mushroom season has been slow for most pickers. The snow finally was totally melted off the ski hill at Hanson Hills around May 20 or 21. I was surprised that it lasted that long. I had both my bike and my car out last week and parked out front when a guy came cruising by in his 55 chevy that was almost the same sissy blue color as my car. His name was Paul from Joburg and he stopped in for a picture on his way to bike night in Grayling. Also our daughter Haley graduates high school next week and we are pretty proud of her as she is Salutitorian of her class and then on her way to school at U of M….Go Blue…….Thanks for checking in.
