Life in Downtown Frederic

I made it back home yesterday afternoon. It seemed funny not getting up during the night to stoke up the wood stove. Its partly sunny and cool here in frederic this morning and even though we are less than 2 weeks from the official opening of the sled trails I certainly dont see any snow coming to make that happen on time. Its supposed to be warm here this week. On the bright side I did see snow over the weekend, I went for a plane ride out of the Manistee airport over our cabin and tippy dam and could see Caberfe up in the distance with snow on it. The pilot said that they had been making snow there since its been cold enough at night. I wish they could spread it on the trails. I am putting in a couple pictures of tippy dam as we went over it and one the guys snapped of me and my bunkmate. Thats about it for now. Thanks for checking in. Pete
