Heading North

Heading north, that’s what you have to do if you want to ride. Snow is gone from the woods and the trails in Frederic. I am surprised still at the calls and messages I am getting wondering if there is rideable snow. The weather man said we may get 1 to 2 inches by tomorrow but that wont help a bit. On the other hand the u.p. is a different story. I just got off the phone with Andy at the Clarke Motel and he said that they are full and the whole town is full of riders and last night I talked to Mark at the Fox River Motel in Seney and he said their full along with town. So riding is still going on up there. Ohio Brian and I are heading up early in the morning for the Veterans Ride out of Seney. Two guys stopped in here yesterday to buy a helmet and were heading to Grand Marais. I talked to them last night and they were at the Lake Superior Brewing company and that there were sleds across the street getting gas and there was still 2 and a half feet of snow up there. So it appears that if you want to get another ride in head about 2.5 to 3 hours north of Frederic and you will get er done. I also was told that Paradise is done grooming up there so I wouldn’t go up to there. That’s about the best I can tell you for now. I took the picture out my front door about 10 a.m. Friday morning. Thanks for checking in and watch for live videos via my Sledheads facebook page providing I have service up there. Pete
