Happy St Patricks Day….2013

What a difference a year makes. Its 15 degrees this morning on the shores of Lake Margrethe and last year Sledheads was closed and it was 80 degrees. This year people are still riding, both the grayling and gaylord groomers were in Frederic yesterday and it looks like with any bit of luck we might still make it thru this week. But on the other hand there arent many out there enjoying this, the first guy that came in yesterday who was riding with his daughter summed it up pretty good by walking in and saying…”where the heck is everybody”. The most sleds I counted over at the swamp yesterday was 15 but they kept switching out. I went for a ride but stayed within a couple miles of the shop and we found areas with untouched new snow that was 5 to 6 inches deep. We keep getting a little bit each night the past few nights. Below here I am going to post 2 pictures that Ron LeCronier sent me from where he was riding at yesterday, one was in the guard camp and the other one was south on the blue bear. And I have 2 videos I am posting here . I am posting the video from last year st pattys day here  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iu3ubzNOEpM   and here is the one I made from yesterday and this morning, quite a difference http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fGjfQDzcug      So thanks for checking in and remember the ancient irish snow chant, MO MO NAH CHEE CHEE NAH…….
