It was pretty quiet here in Frederic when I got here about 8:30 this morning. Now its 10:15 a.m. and a few sleds have rolled thru,, Its about 23 out and luckily yesterday it stayed in the low 20s all day. Sled traffic was way better this year than last year on new years day. Trailer counts this morning were 4 at the Days Inn and 11 at the Ramada and Fays Motel had the No Vacancy sign up last night. Riders still out having a good time and working with what worn snow we have now. I talked to riders that came up from Roscommon and riders that did the grayling, lovells, Gaylord, Frederic loop. Still reports of puddles on the trails including one big one on the trail 47 to lovells. Also had a visit in here last night from the infamous Ohio Pooper. Havent seen him in a while and I made a point to tell him where the port a potty is. Havent heard of anyone making a bridge run yet but I am sure its coming. I take that back, its been ten minutes since I said I haven’t talked to a person that went to the bridge and now there is a guy from Blufton, Indiana who in here who rode up to the bridge from Frederic with his wife and says it was a pretty decent ride and they also got to see a burned up Thundercat near Indian River that had just burned to the ground.
