Well its been a couple weeks since I have been on here. Nothing new or exciting to talk about around town so I thought I would share something I looked up from the past. The Frederic International Speedway was right here in Frederic in the 60s and 70s. It was a dirt track just a half mile south of Sledheads on Old 27. I kind of knew about this before but didn’t check it out again till a few days ago. When I looked it up on Google Earth you can still see it perfectly from up above even after all these years.. They used to run cars there and I have also heard that they ran sleds there too in the winter. I am trying to find out more info about it and would love to see pictures if anyone has them out there. The next coolest thing about it is as you look at the picture below is that the two blue buildings you can see that were built right on the track are my Sledheads Storage units. I wish I had a more to report on. It seems like the real estate market here is pretty active right now and people are buying. I haven’t seen it like this in a long time. That’s great for business but I haven’t even taken the camper out yet this season and only spent four nights there so far. I also finally got the sprnklers fired up at Sledheads so now maybe I will get some green grass. Thanks for checking in. Pete
