A nice warm morning on Lake Margrethe

Its 24 degrees warmer this morning here at beautiful Lake Margrethe and that means it all the way up to 2 degrees with a light snow in the air. Trails don’t get any better than what they were yesterday. Jim Jones and I left Sledheads about noon and headed up the trail to Gaylord. If Gaylord was told to hold back on their grooming they have done and excellent job as all their stuff was perfect but we did jump off the trail at the south end of Otsego lake to buzz all the way to the north end. Make sure if you do that you only get on where you don’t have to cross the railroad tracks except at an approved crossing. After a quick at the arctic cat dealer to pick up a part I ordered we were off for Vienna and then the trail south to Lewiston. Afll still great. Gas and a burger at Talleys and we were off for Lovells, still with better than we deserve trails and then on back to Frederic, 88 miles of great riding and that was just to tune us up for today. The temp yesterday was about 8 degrees but that didn’t phase me a bit. This morning I am taking Haley to school and already have my sled on the trailer and then I am going to pick Jim and his sled up on the other side of Lake Margrethe. Then we are off to Cadillac. I am doing two things at once today as I like to multi task, I am putting my helmet on as the faithful Century 21 agent that I am to go to a closing in Baldwin on a home that my clients Bob and Blonde Linda (I know she will like that) are buying in Idlewild. They are both snowmobilers too. I figured I might as well get some miles in so I plan on parking near Thirstys and heading off towards Wellston with a stop at my hunting cabin and then off to Dublin and Irons, down to Peacock , Wolf Lake and then to Baldwin. The closing is at one and I plan on being on the trail by 10 so that gives me 3 hours to go about 40 miles. Should be plenty. Lets see how this works out. So Happy Trails to Jim & I. I will try to post a couple times into my Sledheads facebook page along the way. Depending on how things go I have a plan in my head for a different route back. Right as we were heading up Otsego lake yesterday it hit me that we should have forgot the trip we were on and headed off from Frederic for Cadillac by sled and got a room for the night, it was 5 by the time we got back so that was to late to do it last night. Please Ride Safely and thanks for checking in. Pete
